bluewinged_songbirdRanting here because Tumblr's search function now lets untagged posts show up and I do not want my irrationally peevish post getting to that BNF. Inexplicably after watching 2 episodes who feels they can talk shit.
Anyway, someone had a take about SPYxFamily where they said they don't know why Loid would so wholeheartedly support Yor even when she was implied to have been a prostitute by her coworker. "Shouldn't Loid have realized that this would tank his mission if word got out to the school? One of the parents was even there blah blah blah."
First of all, WISE has already cleared her background.
Second of all, this unintentional slander of my main man Franky's fact finding abilities is uncalled for.
Third of all, I might give that my man Loid is a moron who is willing to overlook a lot of Yor's suspicious behavior that even a concussion won't justify. He makes questionable decisions either because of out-of-universe Rule of Cool and Rule of Comedy factors and his sheer blindspot when it comes to Anya and Yor. I still want to defend him and say a) he was concussed, and b) would anyone without the benefit of the narrator spelling it out for us would have suspected assassin and psychic?
Fourth of all, Sharon's kid is only going to interview for Eden College, same as Anya. He doesn't even get in.
Finally, and this is the important part, a bunch of government servants are not going to suspect Loid because they most likely think he's Stasi. It wouldn't be explicitly spelled out until later, but the people catching spies are the State Security Service. Nobody is going to question why Dr Forger is bleeding on the off-chance he's telling the truth, or worst, that they stumbled on a Stasi operation and have now put themselves in the line of sight of the Secret Police. The SSS are just as paranoid and bloodthirsty as their IRL East German counterpart. So there is no Ostanian, not those random passersby who saw Loid fall on that thief and certainly not a group of government servants who know the SSS is always watching, who will say a word.
